Axis exists

Architecturally AXIS is presumed to be an IMAGINARY line, in a given formal plan or structure, about which a form, area, or plane is organized. To best understand about a building formation, axis is employed as a base of the primary or secondary central line of any plan. Axis is existed not only on plan but also on the elevations. Coincidently it also appeared as a basic grid line in 2D or 3D forms; on a macro or micro scale of any design.

Started with an axis, a design is overwhelmed with good CHARACTERS yet it does still remain SIMPLE.

Looking back to the Alhambra, axis plays a significant role in the whole design process. Together with basic elements such as water, landscaping and the detailings make the entire building look very outstanding.
The masterplan arrangement layout of UUM was also inspired by the great Alhambra where its main buildings are connected by the axes and naturally blended with water features and landscape.
